That's A Sonnet
I'm trying to become a poet,
It's more than putting together a word or two
I may crack up before I'm through;
It's a challenge if you don't know it;
I'm afraid I'm going to blow it.
I'll not concede for a while,
I'll keep trying with a smile;
I may weaken, but I'll try not to show it.
I'll calm down and try again,
I know if I try I'll prevail;
To admit defeat's a sin,
To concede, is to fail,
If this is poetry, I'm not sure I want it;
If you care to know, they call this a sonnet!
