Love's sharing with others
When you have so little to share,
Love's giving all you have;
When all you have is a prayer !

Love's saying 'no' to your children
Without regret or fear,
Love's saying 'no' when it's right;
Knowing it's yes that they want too hear !

Love's sharing earthly joy
With everyone along the way,
Love's not ours to hold and cherish;
It's not really love till it's given away !

Love's walking that extra mile
Though walking with aching feet,
Love's sharing someone's heavy load,
And friendship with a stranger that we meet !

Love's doing more than your share
Though someone else gets the thanks,
Love's willing to wait your reward
When you stand in that Heavenly rank !

Love's hiding a grievous secret
While prodded by a gossipy soul,
Love's guarding the one you love
And a secret that's never been told !

Love's a gift from the Spirit of God
And though rejected; yet He came,
Love's loving while we despised Him;
Yet He loved us just the same !
