Will the acorn from the mighty oak
Have time to become a tree,
Will the rolling waves of Old Missip
Have time to roll out to sea?

Will the winter snow cover the ground
Before we hear the trumpet blow,
Will the chicade rejoice when at last
Spring sunshine melts the winter snow?

Will the bear in hibernation
Have time to come out in the spring,
Will the wild geese have time to fly south
Before we hear the angels sing?
