Throw Out the Lifeline
Throw out the lifeline to the hopeless
To those who struggle without aim or goal,
Throw out the line to the battle weary
Those with scars upon their sin sick souls.
Cast the net on the right side
Draw in the ones so injured by sin,
Cast it where the Savior directs;
There are so many lost that we must win.
Reach out to the grief stricken,
The ones that are lonely and depressed,
Draw in the lame, the blind and beggar
Harken to their mournful quest.
Walk in darkness to their rescue
The lost sheep that's gone astray,
Search the rugged mountain side
Up and down the paths that Satan paved.
Reach out to the poor and morbid,
To those that to others they'd offend,
Strive to rescue the otherwise neglected,
Remember we all need a helping hand.
Jesus stands eager to receive them
He'll gladly lift them from the raging tide,
Throw out the lifeline into the stormy sea
Pull them to safety, to an anxious Savior's side.
