Peace on earth, good will to men
But alas, the world is filled with hate,
That world of perfect peace shall come
To those who pray and learn to wait.

The Irish hate the English
And each other I suppose,
The Scottish snub them both
And cares not which way the battle goes.

Hate divides the Germans with a wall
That's the way some nations are,
North Korea hates South Korea,
The proof is in their battle scars.

The Arabs hate the Israelites
And Israel schemes to set a snare,
The P. L. O. trusts no one
And they're all without a prayer.

The Russians hate Americans
The feeling's mutual I suppose,
Sabers rattle on both sides;
It's a game of war nerves, and that's the way it goes.

African nations turn to the Soviets,
Not knowing who to trust,
But when it comes to quenching hunger;
It's the good old U. S. of A. or bust.

South Africa's in political turmoil
As Communism sets son against his brother,
It's a constant fear of mistrust
So they simply go about killing each other.

When the 'Prince of Peace' at last shall come
The wrath of war shall be no more,
Hate shall give way to perfect love
And peace on earth shall reign once more.
