We Found True Love
When we first got acquainted, Sweetheart,
We were virtually miles and miles apart,
But time passed and we reached out
And time mellowed two hungry hearts.
There was an emptiness in our relationship
Different values our lifestyles had chose,
But love grew to fill the gap;
And slowly, so slowly it began to close.
At first certain things stood in the way
It appeared our love could not erase,
But understanding overcame the rift
And we were soon locked in fond embrace.
We've shared so much tender love
Oh, to have known from the very start,
What true love could add to life
Nothing, but nothing could have kept us apart.
