Life's Journey

This life can be a joy to behold,
God pours His love into every mold,
Life, my friend, is what you make it;
The foundation's there to build upon;
It's up to you to build upon, or break it.

Life can be like a sunbeam that sparkles
As you drift down life's crystal stream;
Or a shipwrecked life upon a rocky shore,
The course is up to you and you must choose;
Will it be golden sunbeams or heartaches forevermore ?

Will you falter and life seem to pass you by
Or will happiness lift you up on high ?
Will each moment be filled with ecstasy,
God paves the chosen path before your feet;
But you must choose your own destiny.

Are you seeking rewards in the hereafter ?
Are all your days filled with fun and laughter ?
Do you live a sad life without a happy song ?
There's no reason to live your days in darkness;
God's given us a light to brighten our days all day long.

When you come to the end of life's journey
Will you say it's been great with a smile ?
Or will your poor soul quake with endless fear ?
Will your treasures be laid up in Heaven;
Or will you go and leave all your treasures here ?
