From Glory To Earth He Came

Christ became a little babe, to live, to die;
To fulfill prophecy that way,
With no place in the inn to stay,
He slept upon the manger hay;
Yet, He loves fallen man, I wonder why.

There in the solitude of Gethsemane
While Jesus bitterly wept,
The disciples quietly slept;
And Judas slyly crept to betray
The One who died for you and me.

On Calvary's rugged cross in Heaven's sight
Jesus shed his precious blood that day,
'Twas the price He came to pay
To redeem fallen man His own way,
In God's sight day turned to darkest night.

In the borrowed tomb, the Savior lay
The women came and openly wept,
For He was not where they thought He slept;
The angel's secret He safely kept,
That they came and rolled the stone away.

From glory to earth and back again
He paid our sin debt that we might live,
Eternal life He came to give;
He came with power to forgive
Praise God, I'm so glad we're saved in Jesus ' name !
