What A Change
My carnal heart was hard as stone
God's love could not penetrate,
I walked across sin's dark valley
And vented all my hate.
I walked alone in scornful hate
Caring not whom I despised,
Feasting on Satan's filth;
Thriving on his lies.
I lived atop of Devil's mountain
For way too many years,
Mocking my troubled spirit
And scoffing at my fears.
I walked up and down the seashores
And left evil tracks upon the sand,
I laughed in the face of life's storm,
And left a sinful curse upon the land.
One day my weary soul met the 'Solid Rock'
His conviction brought my heart to shame,
The words I heard brought repentance,
And the truth brought me bitter pain.
That day I came on bended knee's
And sought Jesus in humble prayer,
There I found His loving grace,
As he took away my sins, my cares.
With simple child-like faith
I arose as free as man can be,
Knowing Jesus came to bear my sins
Upon Calvary's rugged tree.
Today I choose much softer steps
Since Jesus sets the pace,
My goals are decided by much needed prayer;
And my song is God's amazing grace.
This I promise each and everyone
Trust Jesus, His way is tried and true
Come with a repentive heart,
And there'll be a change in you.
